I must confess that yellow isn't usually one of my favourite colours, but in light of summer ending and wanting to cling on to that last little bit of sunshine, I've been wearing one of my favourite lemon citrines (given to me by my mum). I think there are very few people who would put an outfit together with the yellow being the main focus point, but a yellow accessory such as a highlighter tinted yellow clutch or a sparkling yellow gemstone, make for a perfect focal point. I've wanted a piece by Samantha Wills ever since I saw her amazing jewellery and her beautiful lifestyle that goes with it. Centred around luxury bohemian style, her jewellery looks ornate and contemporary at the same time and adds a relaxed but bright aesthetic that would perfectly compliment a loose, flowing dress. The Gemini Dreams Ring in yellow features two dyed natural, yellow teardrop stones set amongst a gunmetal finish and comes in the most gorgeous wooden box that would make a great keepsake. The second ring that I've chosen to admire this week is a Castle Platinum 50pt Yellow Marquise Diamond Engagement Ring. This comes from Jeremy Hoye, a great jewellery store in the centre of Brighton which always has the most immaculate window displays. This ring has what they've called 'a contemporary castle turret style setting', which I guess is perfect for anyone that wants a princess esque wedding. Last but not least, certainly the biggest and arguably the most striking is the Chameleon Oval Ring by Annoushka. I love, love, love jewellery by Annoushka because everything she designs looks like something I would dream up as a perfect piece of jewellery. This ring in particular is 18ct white gold with lemon quartz framed by blue diamonds and comes from her Chameleon collection of cocktail rings, pendants and earrings. I'm sure any of these beauties could convert anyone to yellow.
