Most fashion photography that's taken when the models are walking down the runway is pretty formulaic. Either the photograph is taken of the model front on, striding down the runway towards a huge pit of photographers, or it's the horrifically blurry Instagram kind of photograph that magazines are so fond of posting via social networking these days. Either way, most of the images are laid out so that we get the best view of the clothes, which is obviously the point. However, there is something to be said for someone who can portray the clothes whilst also giving the viewer a sense of the show atmosphere. Kevin Tachman took these absolutely beautiful photographs for Vogue.co.uk to show the 'dizzying pace' of fashion week. I think they're so much more interesting than the usual kind of images we see, and their abstract nature makes great inspiration for fashion illustrations.
