The weather in the UK has been ridiculously hot of late and my pale Welsh self just cannot deal with it! Despite the sunny weather generally making myself (and everyone else it seems) more cheery, it also means that I get a little sunburn (I never manage to get a tan) and get a little headachey (totally a word). But despite the little annoyances that come with living somewhere that isn't usually this warm and lovely, it's still great to have every day off work be a sunny one, and to be able to spend time walking around, especially when you live in a place like Brighton. I've mainly avoided the beach because every single day it is completely packed full of deckchairs, kids with ice cream all over their faces and people sun worshipping in the tiniest outfits imaginable ( doesn't any one have a job here?) Every Instagram photo that I've posted lately also seems to include food. Maybe the sunshine makes me more hungry than I usually am, or possibly more indulgent. The latter is probably true, since I did have ice cream for breakfast yesterday when going to the cinema. Oops.
This month has been full of wonderful things. Having four birthdays to imagine presents and buy for was a little tough since I'm one of the worst people when it comes to buying presents for others, but other than that the weather here has meant it has been a month full of long walks and peach teas. I've also started interning at a little Brighton boutique called Milla Grace (check it out, the clothes there are beautiful) and as a result have a lot of work to do, but I'd rather that than be doing absolutely nothing ... most of the time anyway. This month I've started a digital painting blog, which can be found in the menu at the top of the page, have a couple of Handbag Project drawings to finish and will have some new work following the launch of the new Gallery of Fashion Art website. Exciting!
