There's kind of a running joke in the UK that Wales is terribly drab and rainy and often if people describe visiting there they'll conjure up images of muddy fields and wet grey skies, but since moving to England I definitely feel the weather is just as bad. Even more so in Brighton where being by the sea makes it the most windy place ever! Saying this, recently we have had so many warm, sunny days, that I wish I lived somewhere that was like that everyday. Everyone seems happier and more relaxed, which is good when you live in a city that has as many ignorant, rude people as it does lovely ones. So used to cold weather as I am, means that I have very little summer clothes that look good without a trusty leather jacket or loose coat.
I recently bought this cute cream dress from River Island because I'm a total sucker for anything with lace, and it's now one of the few things I think look good on its own. It's also a major step for me to wear anything other than black, but recently I've started to branch out to different colours, specifically blue, which I think is just perfect for living by the sea. I'm also currently in love with Barry M Gelly nail polish in Green Berry, which I think goes with everything. I hadn't tried the hi-shine Gelly range from Barry M till recently but I think I'll buy more colours because, whilst it does still chip after a couple of days, like every other nail polish, it really does look so shiny and summery. I do wish they had a nude colour though, because that's always my go to nail colour - Bourjois do really great ones that resemble gel, which is great. Above are a couple of dresses that I think are perfect for sunny days, along with a photo of me enjoying a cheeky frappachino in the park.
